Many people wonder how to pick the right shoe for them. Although it may be confusing, follow these simple steps. If you get lost, call or email us!
1. Check to make sure the length and width is right! You should have about a finger width of space from the end of your longest toe. Your foot should fit nicely within the limits of the footbed, not spilling over. Find the widest part of the foot (across 1st and 5th toe joints) and make sure the foot is not spilling over the edges.
2. Ensure the shoe is the right style for your foot. Some people are better suited for a neutral shoe compared to a stability shoe that aids in those who’s feet collapse. Depending on your foot you may do better in a rounded or cushioned shoe in comparison to a flat shoe. Stiffness in a shoe is also something to consider. If a shoe is quite flexible, it won’t provide as much support as a stiff shoe.
3. Ensure the shape of the shoe is right for your foot. Some styles are more tapered (left) and some are more rounded (right). Ensure the right depth is important too, some shoes are deeper to fit those with thicker or high-arched feet.
