Are you wearing the right sized shoe?

If you have a hard time finding shoes, you may just be wearing the wrong sized shoe Ensuring you are wearing the proper length and width is crucial for the health and comfort of your feet.

Here are some quick tips for the next time you are buying shoes:

Proper length is important. The majority of people are wearing shoes that are too small (stuck on a number), or way too long to accommodate for width. The proper length is having a pinky width of space between the longest toe and the end of the shoe.

Proper width to ensure the widest part of the foot (usually between the big toe and 5th toe joint) is sitting in the widest part of the shoe. If you aren’t wearing the proper width, the foot can get pinched causing many issues in the forefoot.
