We have lots of clients that come through our door who are hesitant to wear orthotics based on the shoes they THOUGHT they would have to wear. Many people believe that foot orthotics only fit in big, ugly, orthopedic, “grandma shoes”!! Even our 85 year old client told us she didn’t want to be stuck in old lady shoes ⁣⁣

⁣⁣However, those people haven’t come into our clinic and seen what the Pedorthists at SOS can do Shoes have changed. Orthotics have changed. If you bring the shoes you like to wear to your initial appointment, we can usually work with them. As long as they aren’t causing you pain and they actually fit your feet, there is often a chance we can get some kind orthotic or modification in your shoes.  ⁣

⁣We won’t force you to wear a specific shoe. However, we can make suggestions as to what shoes or type of footwear might work better for your foot type or problem. Sometimes the best shoes are in fact the really orthopedic shoes, but it’s always your choice. ⁣

⁣We’ve put full length or dress orthotics in all the shoes shown here. We’ve also put orthotics in workboots, Hunter boots, Uggs, Chucks, Crocs, high heels, sandals, and so many more. If it’s a shoe you love, we will try our best to get orthotics into them. (keep in mind there are some shoes that just don’t work or benefit you very much). ⁣

⁣If you thought orthotics were only meant to be worn in “old person” shoes, it is time to change your mind and come to see us at SOS!
