Custom Made Orthotics

Our orthotics are custom made to fit each persons individual feet to ensure maximum comfort.

Our Pedorthists take a 3-Dimensional cast of your feet that is used to create the orthotics. No two feet are alike… not even both of your own! By taking an impression of the foot, it is possible to make each orthotic custom to each foot including all the lumps and bumps that makes each foot unique.

The orthotics replace the insole inside the shoe and can generally be moved between shoes of similar size/shape.

Custom made orthotics must be prescribed by a physician in order to claim them through health benefits. Custom made orthotics are not always necessary. Sometimes a pre-fabricated, customized insole will be sufficient, but this would be determined by the Pedorthist.

At Shantz Orthotic Solutions, all orthotics are made in-house at our on-site lab. This means that all adjustments and modifications can be done during the appointment while you wait. Taking minutes instead of weeks for your orthotics to be perfectly suited for you.

Anyone with persistent foot, knee, hip, or back pain, as well as athletes looking to optimize performance and prevent injuries, can benefit from custom orthotics.

If the orthotics aren’t quite right, just book an appointment and a Pedorthist will be happy to adjust them for you.

By having the on-site lab, there is a better understanding when we see the feet, the shoes, the walking pattern and we make the devices based on all of the information we saw rather than sending it out to a lab.

This allows us to better customize each orthotic. We also offer a variety of different orthotic styles depending on the shoe you wear. In order to do this, you simply must bring in the shoes you’d like to wear your new orthotics in during the initial visit, and the pedortist will advise you on what is the best fit for you and your shoe.

We use strong and durable materials. Each pair of orthotics will last between 2 and 5 years, dependant on wear. If you feel you can benefit from a second pair inquire at your appointment or call us to order within 12 months of the original fitting, and we can reuse the casts.
